To all our incoming 6th grade families, we hope you are staying safe as you wrap up your time at elementary school. We look forward to welcoming you to Mark Twain this coming fall and cannot wait to meet you!
To prepare for your arrival, we are asking that you visit our website: www.marktwainms.net and click our ENROLLMENT button. Under the LINKS, you will find a New Student Survey along with pertinent enrollment documents.
Please complete the survey as soon as possible to indicate your intent to enroll with us in August. Once we have received your survey, we will reach out to you with further enrollment instructions in the coming weeks. Also, please know that enrollment is NOT automatic and you must complete the entire enrollment packet in order to be enrolled at Mark Twain. We are looking forward to you becoming a part of the Shark family.
ENROLLMENT 2020-2021 School Year
Friday, May 22, 2020 from 11 AM – 2 PM, we will be giving out applications for enrollment for the next school year. Students already enrolled this year do not need to be enrolled again.
Entrance age for ETK students: Students must be 4 years old on or before June 30, 2020.
Entrance age for Transitional Kinder students: Students must be 5 years old between 9/2/20 and 12/2/20.
Entrance age for Kindergarten students: Students must be 5 years old on or before September 1, 2020.
Parent/Guardian and student must live within our school boundaries to attend our school.
Children attending the Early Ed Center need to be enrolled. If you have any questions, please contact the school office by sending an email to email@example.com
Shenandoah has a new app you can download to iphone or android phones. Our previous shenandoah app with the shark no longer works as of Feb 20th. Please download the new app - School News by Edlio see photo above. If you are still using the old app to notify the school of your child's absence, the school will not receive the notice. Please use the new app.
Sophie earned her 5th grade class a field trip to Esteban E. Torres Performing Arts Magnet High School. Superintendent Austin Beutner honored Sophie with a certificate of achievement and her story was turned into a short film by the seniors at Torres High. Congratulations, Sophie Valeriano!

REMINDER: Shenandoah will be lending laptops and distributing student work on Saturday, March 28,2020 (until devices are no longer available). Parents will have to come at different times if they have children at different grade levels (Why?: Upper grade students will get priority for devices). If we run out of devices for Pre-K through 2, we will work with the district to get additional computers.
*If student work was left for you to pick up, you will receive a message from your child's teacher.

For everyone's safety, we ask that only one person per family come to pick up the items.

Our delivery of chocolate has been delayed due to the recent fires. Chocolate is expected to arrive Thursday, October 18. We are asking parent to please hold on to their orders until Thursday. Students will be able to turn in their order in the morning and receive their order in the afternoon. Thank you for understanding and for your support!
