Hello, my name is Rhonda Dawson I'm excited about the opportunity to get to know you, and I'm looking forward to a happy and productive school year. This will be my 20th year, teaching here at Shenandoah Street Elementary School.I love teaching here we have wonderful students and great parent support. Our Principal and her team are very dedicated to making Shenandoah a wonderful school.

 

I was born and raised in Los Angeles, I attended Dorsey High School, I received my BA in Liberal Studies from CSUDH and my Teaching Credential from CSULA. I came from a family of Educators my mother taught for 30 years for LAUSD and I have two aunts that taught and retired from LAUSD. I also have a cousin that is a school Psychologist.

 

Studies show that parental involvement in a child's education is one of the strongest indicators of student achievement . I hope you will make it a priority this year to attend as many school-sponsored events as possible.
