Welcome to the 2016-2017 school year. My name is Jessica Sharon. I am the teacher for TK-5 IDS class at Shenandoah Elementary School in room 2. I have been working as teacher in special education for 17 years and here at Shenandoah for the past 6 years. I first became interested in special education as a third year student at UCLA when I was given the opportunity to intern in resource classroom at the elementary school. I fell instantly in love! I received my degree from UCLA in 1998 & pursued further education to receive my credential from National University in Special Education (Moderate to Severe disabilities).
On a personal note, I am the mother of an energetic 4 year-old. Most of my free time is spent enjoying her in her various activities such as soccer, swimming and dance. I am most happy when I'm outdoors, either swimming at the beach or hiking in the mountains.
