All About Room 26

Hello!  My name is Ms. Fried.  I've taught at Shenandoah for sixteen years, and I've loved every minute of it!  We have an amazing community of parents, students, and staff who all work together to make Shenandoah a positive and exciting place to learn and grow.  Before coming to Shenandoah, I received my B.A. in Liberal Studies along with my CLAD multiple-subject teaching credential from Loyola Marymount University in Westchester, CA.  I love spending time with my family and friends, going to the beach, reading, playing with animals, and eating chocolate!
Third grade is an exciting year filled with rich learning opportunities.  I believe in a full, well-rounded curriculum that includes both the core subjects and the arts.  Some of the many topics that we will cover during the school year are:

Language Arts

History-Social Science

Other Topics

*Reading comprehension

*States of Matter

*U.S. Government

*Text Structure

*Solar System

*Map skills

*Physical activity

*Data analysis

*Native Americans

*Social skills

*Vocabulary development

*World cultures and traditions

We are fortunate enough to work in conjunction with Ms. Leyba's Special Day Class so that all students are able to work together and grow as a learning community.
