The LAUSD Office of Environmental Health & Safety (ORHS) invites you to a California Environmental Quality (CEQA) and Site Assessment Public Meeting for the Shenandoah Street Elementary School COMPREHENSIVE MODERNIZATION PROJECT. The purpose of this meeting is to provide a project overview and prevent the results of the Initial Study/Mitigated Negative Declaration and the Preliminary Environmental Assessment -Equivalent (PEA-E) that have been prepared for the project.
The Initial Study evaluates the potential effects the proposed Project may have on the surrounding environment, such as noise, traffic, etc. The results of the Initial Study indicate that a Mitigated Negative Declaration was the appropriate level of CEQA documentation.
The PEA-E Investigation was completed to determine if the soil beneath the project area may have been impacted with chemicals of concern.
